St Mary’s scrumhalf Chad Clark has been named as the 2010 recipient of the annual Down Under Rugby offer to attend its summer program in Australia at a heavily discounted price.

Clark, named to this year’s ARN DUR All-American team, was chosen from a long list of players who’ve applied to DUR to attend the eight-week program in Sydney, Australia.

“Chad just completed his third year majoring in kinesiology at St Mary’s,” says Clark’s head coach Tim O’Brien.

“Co-Capt of the team, former All-State multiple sport athlete from Bellingham, Washington, Chad is a two-time USA college All-American. He is passing on this year’s All-American trials to attend the DUR program.

“He has extraordinary footwork; you’d be hard pressed to capture him in a ‘phone booth’. Chad has the ‘6th sense’ in his rugby being which separates him from the ordinary.

"He was born to be a rugby player and DUR will assist in his quest to represent USA in the years ahead.”

This year marks the third year in a row that DUR has made a generous offer to cut the cost of attending its program to one lucky player named to the ARN All-American team.

“We are all about the development of USA Rugby and that is why we exist and offer this benefit each year,” adds Down Under Rugby managing director Grant Houldsworth.

ARN would like to thank DUR for its ongoing support and sponsorship of our coverage of the college game and we congratulate SMC’s Chad Clark on being this year’s choice to go to Sydney for 50% off the normal price.

Goodonya mate!
