After all, quite a few games have been played since we released our initial preseason rankings in mid-August.
As a consequence of the past two weeks’ matches, 14 teams are on the move in one direction or the other.
Utah breaks into the top 10 after thrashing Utah Valley University, while Navy, Rutgers and Washington State all climb the ladder following victories on the Labor Day weekend. An idle UC Davis also benefits from all the movement above it.
Conversely, Dartmouth takes a slight dive following its 1-1 split at the Royall Lyme Classic primarily because it came away with a negative points differential.
Teams on the cusp include Delaware, Wyoming and South Carolina as each posted solid Ws on Labor Day.
