In the wake of the opening rounds of the national playoffs, a bunch of teams have traded places.
In cricketing parlance, it’s virtually a new batting lineup.
Generally speaking, teams that won in both the Round of 16 and quarterfinals moved up, except for the top two who remain unchanged, sides that won on the first day but lost on the second either held their ground or climbed a place or two, while those schools that went 0-2, well, they dropped like stones.
As we said last week, just because you were in the Round didn’t necessarily mean that you automatically should have been ranked in the top 16, and that was certainly borne out in several cases.

And as a result of how things panned out, some teams that didn’t qualify have jumped ahead of the 0-2 guys.
