Two go up and three go down following the latest college action.
St Mary’s and Cal Poly climb the rankings in the wake of wins at the weekend. SMC was given a good test by a vastly improved Sacramento State, while CPSLO accounted for the San Luis Obispo men’s team.
As a result of the two teams on the ascendancy, Army, Wyoming, and Virginia Tech slip just a bit.
There are several teams just out of the top 25 that bear watching including UC Davis, which is making a strong case for re-entry.
Ohio State, Arizona, and Washington State have all been ranked before and depending on how they go in the spring, they could force their way back into the rankings. And don’t be surprised if Stanford makes it as well, given the promising start the Cardinal have made late in 2008.
