Kansas City has racked up another W, this time a 58-13 decision against Omaha GOATS in a Western Division I contest in Kansas City, MO.

Despite the final scoreline, Omaha was a good test and dangerous at times.

The visitors had several quality players, they also have a new flyhalf who commanded the back line extremely well. City's pack, however, completely dominated the match, particularly in the set piece. The 8 pick was incredibly effective and the entire pack worked together extremely well.

Brian "BJ" Ward and Andrew Mierz got their first A side action in the game. Both are very deserving of first side clock having performed well in second side matches all season and earned their roles in this match.

This starting nod kept the punishing legs of Gary Tapasua and Aflea Tuala fresh as impact reserves. Kareem "Monty" Montague also played well in his first start at scrumhalf, and Guy Brown, another relatively new face, performed admirably yet again.

Although City did well, it wasn’t able to finish off Omaha with authority.

“A late try was allowed that was a bit of a gimme,” said Kansas City’s Wayne Nicholsen. “We appear to have the nails and the coffin, but can't find the hammer.”

Tulsa, KC’s next opponent, looks to be stiffer competition this weekend. City also has Pearl City in two weeks’. Both matches will be a much needed test for the club.
