Even though the Eagles beat Uruguay and clinched the Americas #2 seed for RWC 2011, they didn’t move up the IRB world rankings.

The US did, however, put a little daylight between itself and 18th ranked Georgia, while also closing the gap on the 16th placed Russians.

The Eagles’ RWC qualifying series victory has secured them a berth in Pool C alongside Australia, Ireland, Italy and whichever country secures the Europe 2 seed.
