USA Rugby has officially announced the locations for its upcoming national championship events for the summer of 2008.

Among the events to be finalized is the collegiate All-Star championship, which is to be held at the recently opened Infinity Park in Glendale, CO.

“We have chosen a couple of the same locations for the summer events as we did for the spring ones as both Glendale and Pittsburgh have proved very interested in taking on additional events and the venues they are offering are superb,” USA Rugby’s director of national championships Kim Brock said.

“We are also making our first stop at San Francisco in August, and are very excited to see San Francisco Golden Gate host a top notch event.”

Infinity Park’s state of the art facility should prove a good fit for the college All-Star championship event and provide a high performance atmosphere for the selection of the collegiate All-American side that is set to tour in late July or early August.

USA Rugby will also be returning to Pittsburgh late this summer for the women’s senior & U23 All-Star championships and the men’s & women’s All-Star 7s championship on June 13-15 and August 23-24 respectively.

San Francisco Golden Gate rounds out the list of event hosts as it will be holding the men’s club 7s championship on their home field on Treasure Island August 9-10. The only remaining events to be named are the women’s club championships series and the men’s All-Star championships, which are both held in the fall and will be announced shortly.
