Paul Ganey

Long-time executive with the Southern California Rugby Football Union, Paul Ganey, has passed away suddenly.

Ganey, a Loyola Marymount alum, was a past president of the SCRFU.

He died at his home in El Segundo in west Los Angeles.

At the time of his passing, Ganey was serving as the SCRFU’s vice president.

The long-serving SCRFU executive was also a past member of the Los Angeles RFC. The Southern California Division I preseason competition, the Ganey Cup, was named in honor of his service to the game.

A funeral service for Ganey is scheduled for Wednesday, June 23, at 11a (PDT) at the Church of St Mark’s in Venice, California.

There will be a reception after the service at the California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey.

Ganey is survived by his 90-year old mother June.
