It is a fundraiser for Save 2nd Base/The Kelly Rooney Foundation.
Kelly Rooney was the wife of Sean Rooney, a 1980 graduate of St Joe’s, who passed away in 2006 after a courageous, four-year battle with breast cancer. She was 43.
St Joe’s Prep will host Salesianum High School, Second City Troop, Jersey Cape Storm, and a Xavier side from New York.
As was the case at the inaugural event in 2008, pink jerseys will be worn by St Joe’s players and will be auctioned off after the game.
Last year more than $2000 was raised for the foundation.
