The New York Knights have remained perfect at home this season with a 32-4 win against the Northern Raiders Friday night at The Castle in the American National Rugby League.

The Knights led 14-0 at halftime.

New York bounced back from its defeat last week in Jacksonville.

Xavier Loguenez (2), captain Michael Bird and Gareth Baxendale were among New York’s try-scorers, while 19-year old prop Sean Taylor had another big game up front, his second in a row.

“The Raiders are a very much improved team this year,” New York Knights president Bob Balachandran told ARN.

“Joel Venables has done a lot with a very young team.”

The Knights ran on some of their legends during the game including Dave ‘Kiwi’ Wickendam and former USA Tomahawk Christopher Curtis Clinton, better known as Kamala.

The result improved the Knights’ record to 3-1, while the Raiders dropped to 0-3.
