Canada 'A' has defeated the USA U19s 56-0 in the warm-up game to the Freedom Cup Friday in Lakeland, FL.

The hosts were overwhelmed by the Canadians in the first half with two tries by captain Sean White and individual tries from Toni Wodzicki, Chris Barrett and Jordan Wilson-Ross.

Flyhalf Peter Jawl kicked two penalties and three conversions to make it 37-0 for Canada at the break.

Early in the second half, Barrett scored another try followed shortly by Jawl crossing the line. Jawl added both conversions, taking his individual tally to 21 points.

The Americans eventually tightened up on defense for the remainder of the second half, but Canadian flanker Matt Mosby was able to get the final score with an unconverted try.

Canada took the opening match 56-0, but know that a tougher contest will come on Saturday, when the two nations meet again, this time with the Freedom Cup on the line.
