US women win in Hong Kong

The US women's team laid down a marker ahead of next year's Rugby World Cup Sevens by beating archrivals Canada 21-7 to win the Cable & Wireless Hong Kong Women's Sevens Friday in Hong Kong.

The American women got to the final by knocking off France in the semifinals, after going an unbeaten 3-0 on day one.

The US beat the Netherlands and hosts Hong Kong in pool play on Thursday, before taking care of business against the Arabian Gulf in the quarterfinals.
