The inaugural Women’s Premier League champion and the Women’s Division I champs have been determined at the conclusion of the 2009 season.

New York has been crowned WPL champs, while the San Diego Surfers have won the Women’s DI title.

In the WPL, the New York club had been one of the form teams all season long and on finals day Sunday in San Francisco it lived up to its billing by downing the Berkeley All Blues 20-10.

In the consolation matches, Keystone beat the Amazons 36-10 and the DC Furies topped ORSU 27-5.

In the DI competition, San Diego Surfers proved to be too good for NOVA by winning the championship decider 14-0.
